The world we live in is filled with visual images. They are central to how we represent, make meaning, and communicate.
The cultural development project – SAEPS – has had focus on arranging learning art processes, where each student gets the possibility to investigate, express, and reflect upon their experiences, statements, feelings and fantasy.
The piloting Vietnamese art teachers have experienced that students in learner centered, integrated, and interactive processes get a deeper understanding of themselves and their surrounding world.
SAEPS regards the students as co-creators of culture.
Art education stimulates all senses and incorporates the inputs in ongoing art processes. Communication through visual and spatial images enlarges our span of languages.
I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.
I do and I understand.
The language of art stimulates the learner
To think with hands
To do with head
To listen and speak
To understand with joy
